Scrap Cutting Machine Maintenance & Blade Care
Blade rotation, daily habits and why the mechanical build stays simple to service
Blade rotation, daily habits and why the mechanical build stays simple to service
Every scrap cutting machine we build is rated low maintenance. That is not a slogan — it follows from the design. The drive is mechanical, not hydraulic: a 1.5 kW (2 HP), 1500 RPM motor shears the material in one stroke, so there are no pumps, hoses or seals on the service list.
The one consumable worth managing is the cutting blade, and that is where most of your running cost savings live.
Our blades are built with multiple usable cutting positions. When one edge wears, the blade is rotated to bring a fresh edge into use instead of replacing it:
How long each position lasts depends on the material, wear pattern and duty cycle — we do not quote a fixed cutting-life number. What we do say honestly: an Allen key for the blade bolt is supplied with every machine, so rotation is a job for your own operator.
Blade rotation and any cleaning inside the cutting area happens with the machine disconnected from power, performed by a trained operator. Machines carry a 1 year warranty; customisation requests are discussed case by case.
Installation and commissioning support, motor or supply questions, and anything outside routine blade rotation are best solved on a call: +91 81410 77172. That is honestly faster than a long email thread — see contact details.
The bar scrap cutting machine blade has up to 8 usable positions. The straight bar, vertical and horizontal machines have up to 4 positions by rotation.
An Allen key for the blade bolt is supplied with every machine we build.
The drive is mechanical rather than hydraulic, so there are no pumps or seals to service. The machines are rated as low maintenance for repetitive cutting operation.
Keep the cutting mouth and collection area clear, check the blade for wear, confirm fasteners are tight before starting, and never force material larger than the published capacity.
